Belleek is the most westerly settlement in Northern Ireland. Though mostly in County Fermanagh, part of the town crosses the border and the River Erne into County Donegal. Belleek became famous for its world-class pottery in the late 19th century, with a famous pottery studio established in Belleek in the mid-19th century. Belleek pottery was exported to Ireland, England, Continental Europe, the USA, and Australia, with orders even coming in from Queen Victoria and The Prince of Wales. in 2018, the Visitor Centre won the Northern Ireland Hospitality Awards for “Best Visitor Attraction”.
